T.H.B.I. studies are structured to help our students gain understanding not just acquire academic measures!

Knowledge - acquiring information is of course important. Gaining knowledge alone however falls far short of what you need and gaining knowledge alone can actually cause damage to your ministry ... see: 1 Corinthians 8:1-3.

We are much more concerned with your gaining wisdom and understanding for without these, all the knowledge your mind can hold is of little true value!

Proverbs 4:1-8
Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, and give attention to know understanding;
for I give you good doctrine: do not forsake my law.
When I was my father's son, tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,
He also taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart retain my words; keep my commands, and live.
Get wisdom!
Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her.

True Hope Bible Institute are Bible specific! Your studies are structured for giving the primary role of Teacher to the Holy Spirit instead of a collection of human instructors.

Rather than cluttering your mind with a multitude of human teachings, such as denominational dogma, different theologies, and the like ... T.H.B.I. moves out of the way so the Holy Spirit is able to impart to you the thing which only He can accomplish; Wisdom and understanding!

Jesus promises that the Holy Spirit comes to be our Teacher ... "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14:26

Our role is not to teach you about what the Bible says, but we rigorously study the Bible itself for what the Bible actually says with the Holy Spirit leading you and imparting to you the understanding necessary to live according to God's Word. Thus the Holy Spirit equips you to become the leader in life and ministry you are needed to be!

Of course, we are here to facilitate your growth, but in all aspects, it is the Holy Spirit Who leads the teaching!
