ACCREDITED BY THE W.W.A.C
World Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian Educational
Institutions
|
NOTICE: In December of 2010 the W.W.A.C. extended the accreditation of THBI until
June, 2012!
It surprises many people to learn that schools are not legally required to become accredited!
However, on the school's part it is a very desirable standing.
Accredited status means a school has voluntarily undergone a comprehensive examination to
determine that it operates at a worthy level of performance.
Most simply, accreditation is a process in which certification of competency, authority, or credibility is
presented. The accreditation process ensures that their certification practices are acceptable, typically
meaning that they are competent to test and certify third parties, behave ethically, and employ suitable quality
assurance.
Why not accredited by the Department of Education? In many cases the government's Department of
Education is not qualified to accredit a private school, such as a Bible School, because the DoE is secular and a
Bible or Christian School is spiritual thus our standards are not secular and can not be judged by secular
standards!
-
As we find in 1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
Therefore a state agency is not able to determine if a spiritually directed learning institution is
meeting the mandates of the Bible!
This being the case, we prayerfully determined to subject T.H.B.I. to the standards of a Christian, Full Gospel
oriented accreditation agency, thus we chose the World Wide Accreditation Commission of Christian
Educational Institutions.
Organizations that issue credentials or certify third parties against official standards are themselves formally
accredited by accreditation bodies (such as United Kingdom Accreditation Service); hence they are sometimes known
as "accredited certification bodies".
WHY DID WE APPLY WITH THE W.W.A.C.?
The W.W.A.C. has accredited over 200 Christian Schools and Institutions world wide and is growing
steadily each year!
Also, the W.W.A.C. typically requires annual renewal which means that T.H.B.I. must apply for accreditation
renewal each year. This requirement insures that we are maintaining the standards and requirements of the
W.W.A.C.
The Arkansas Department of Higher
Education True Hope Bible Institute is recognized as a Christian Educational
Institution exempt from state licensing with the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.
Our covering ministry - True Hope Churches & Ministry has been recognized as a church exempt from filing
requirements of the Attorney General of Arkansas.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION: True Hope Bible Institute courses are strictly Christian and Bible
specific studies that do not include “academic” curriculum such as “English”, “Science”,
“Mathematics” etc.
It is because of this that our students are able to earn our degrees
in a shorter time frame than a typical secular college.
Therefore,
although our degrees may be recognized by Christian Churches they may not necessarily be recognized or
accepted in secular professional settings.
